Lite Duty ropes are made from economically priced fibers. The ropes are not usually strong, but rather have other characteristics that make them desirable (such as being bio-degradable). They are value-priced ropes and usually have a very short service life. They generally fall into the category as follows: Twisted Cotton Rope
Braided Utility Rope A value priced Polypropylene rope. Various colors. Braided and non-rotational. Value priced fibers provide for limited service conditions. Average UV stabilization. Fair abrasion resistance. These ropes are value priced and usually have a very limited service life. The fibers weaken at 200° F, so abrasion and the resulting heat build-up should be avoided. |
