A braided or extruded product that is used to dry clothes, rags, and other cloth items in natural ambient air conditions. Clothesline is traditionally made from braided fibers, usually cotton because the cotton will dry or “wick away” the wet spot under the clothes pin. The clothesline can be a diamond braid cotton or a solid braid cotton. Starting about the mid 1950’s , extruded clothesline made its way into the market. This Is usually a PVC product that is extruded over synthetic fibers or a small wire. The end result is a waterproof product that will not rot with extended usage. This product is easier to clean than a traditional cotton clothesline. |
